Who are we?

The National Council of Negro Women Inland Empire Section (NCNWIE) is a volunteer service organization chartered in 1968 in Rialto,

What is our mission?

Our mission is to lead, advocate for, and empower women of African descent, their families, and communities through service and leadership in four areas of focus: Health Equity, Economic Development, Education Support and Enrichment, Social Justice and Civic Engagement.

Literacy empowers and liberates people. Beyond its importance as part of the right to education, literacy improves lives by expanding capabilities which in turn reduces poverty, increases participation in the labour market and has positive effects on health and sustainable development.

Women empowered by literacy have a positive ripple effect on all aspects of development. They have greater life choices for themselves and an immediate impact on the health and education of their families, and in particular, the education of girl children.

​Blessings Bags in May 2025

Blessings Bags contain feminine hygiene products, toiletries, beauty items, sanitizer, and a hand written note from NCNW members.

The Blessing in a Bag Outreach Program was created to provide unsheltered women with caring to let them know they are not alone.

Monetary and in-kind donations are welcome. Contact the Bethune Ctr. to drop off donations. IE NCNW is a 501c non-profit organization

NCNW IE and Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County (CAPSBC) provided Blessings Bags: hygiene products and make-up to women who are unhoused and in need.
